PeaceParksTV is an initiative of the Peace Parks Foundation, an NGO that manages large conservation areas throughout southern Africa.

PeaceParksTV produces short videos that showcase the work that the organisation does on the ground and take the public behind the scenes of what it takes to conserve Africa's wilderness.

Personal reflections on the project

What I learnt

  • Team coordination was really important at PeaceParksTV. Not only was the team all remote, but footage and information had to be sourced from people scattered in remote areas across southern Africa. 

  • A massive challenge was ensuring that the organisations values were clearly communicated in everything we produced, whether in a video script or social media promotional copy.

  • I had the benefit of a senior writing edit my work. This really improved the quality of the final published content.
