Lift the Lethal Lockdown: A plea from devastated small businesses
August, 2020
This short documentary was part of a broader campaign of the IRR to get the government-enforced lockdown lifted by emphasising the pressure it was putting on business owners from all walks of life.

Personal reflections on the project
Observations
Never underestimate the time it takes to film and budget for extra time. Invariably, someone will be late, a piece of gear will malfunction or you'll have to do another take.
When possible, do a site recce beforehand. This will help you anticipate the conditions you will be filming in.
It's important to film at sites with people that are familiar with the surroundings. Particularly when safety is a concern, things such as knowing where to park the car or places to avoid can give you a lot of piece mind.
