Forge is a mobile app and website that hosts highly accurate hiking maps.
I have been part of Forge since it was founded in 2017. It is a side hustle that is undertaken alongside my brother and very good friend of ours.
Personal reflections on the project
Lessons learnt
There are too many lessons learnt from being a part of Forge that a bullet list would not suffice. Most importantly, it has:
Allowed me to learn how to build and manage a website
Helped me understand the ins-and-outs of what running a business requires
Given me an appreciation for just how intense running a sustainable tech business is and how quickly technology moves
Taught me that there is immense value in putting a product out there an iterating as you go along
